MATERIALS AND CARE
Anchor plate: steel, wide and flat. It lies under your mattress and spreads the pull across a hand-sized area instead of pressing into one point, so nothing shows through the sheet.
Belt: 100% polyester webbing, 290 cm, with a side-release buckle. Long enough to pass under an adult bed up to 195 cm wide and still cinch tight.
Care: wipe both with a damp cloth and dry them. Check the buckle and the tension every few weeks - webbing settles after the first nights and usually wants one more pull.
WARRANTY AND RETURNS

What does the belt actually do?
It ties the cot to your bed. Without it, two separate pieces of furniture standing side by side drift apart every time someone leans on either one, and a gap opens between the mattresses. The belt runs under the cot's floor board and anchors under your mattress, so the two are pulled together and stay that way.
Which beds does it work with?
On the cot side: the Creative Cot, the Creative Cot Long and färska's other baby beds. On your side: any adult bed up to 195 cm wide, which covers king size. The 290 cm belt has to reach under your bed and back.
When will it not work?
If your bed's frame and mattress are a single piece - a divan or an upholstered base with the mattress built in - there is nowhere to slide the steel plate, and the belt has nothing to anchor to. It needs a mattress that lifts off its base. Match the two bed heights before fitting it, too; the belt closes a gap, it does not fix a step.
How is it fitted?
Set both beds to the same height and push them together. Thread the belt under the cot's floor board, lift the edge of your mattress and lay the steel plate on the base, then let the mattress back down and pull the belt tight at the buckle on the cot rail. No tools, and it comes off just as quickly when you travel.
Up to what age?
The belt is rated to 24 months. In practice the limit that comes first is the cot's own: once a child can pull themselves up, side-by-side sleeping ends and the cot side goes back up. Follow whichever limit you reach sooner.
Has it been safety tested?
Yes - it passed the strength and impact tests of the Japanese SG standard, which is the scheme färska's baby beds are certified under. The belt is sold as standard equipment with some of their beds and as a separate part for the rest.
