Can you really sit on the cabinet?
Yes. The top surface holds an adult's weight. You can read your child a bedtime story sitting on the cabinet while all the toys are hidden inside. This is two pieces of furniture in one: a bench for shared moments and a spacious storage unit for things.
From what age can a child use the cabinet independently?
From age 2. The cabinet height is 50 cm, exactly at children's hand level. A two-year-old can reach a toy from the shelf, a five-year-old can tidy everything up on their own. The low centre of gravity makes the structure stable even during active play nearby.
What fits inside?
Two deep drawers (45 x 37 cm) for building sets, puzzles and small toys. Four open shelves for board games, books and soft toys. Sliding doors for things best hidden from guests. At 160 cm long, there is enough space for the main part of a child's collection.
Will the sliding doors get in the way if the cabinet is placed right next to a bed?
No. The doors glide along the frame and need no space to swing open. The cabinet can be placed flush against a bed, wall or another cabinet. Not a single extra centimetre needed.
Are the drawers safe for small children?
Yes. The drawers have concealed runners with soft-close. They close gently and quietly, keeping fingers safe. They withstand daily opening and closing for years without play or creaking.
Will the cabinet scratch the floor?
No. The cabinet is raised 8 cm above the floor on legs with built-in levellers. The levellers have protective pads. An added bonus: a robot vacuum passes underneath and wet cleaning needs no furniture moving.
How long does assembly take?
About 30 minutes. Most fixings are pre-installed at the factory. You simply connect the panels following step-by-step instructions. A Phillips screwdriver or power drill is required. The cabinet disassembles just as easily for moving.
Can the cabinet be combined with other Ikiddoo furniture?
